I see every day as a new chance to create something. It is the reason I get out of bed every morning. It is the fire inside of me that pushes me forward.

My Style
I love using clean, bold, attention-grabbing typography. I enjoy finding just the right color combinations to make a brand pop. I create designs that are sure to stand out.

My Experience
During my time at Wake Tech, I have designed mock-ups, packages, T-shirts, logos, mood boards, magazine spreads, magazine covers, book covers, books, flyers, power points, business cards, letters, postcards, and advertisements.
Throughout my internship at JFP Studios, I gained hands-on experience in key areas such as team collaboration, file preparation for clients, design editing techniques, and mastering the overall design process.

About Me
My name is Kirsten, and I reside in a charming small town in Burke County, NC, nestled in the scenic foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. As a proud member of the Woody Island Tribe (Tangrinaq Native Village), I am excited to share that I’ve recently been accepted into the Alutiiq Seal Program through the Alutiiq Museum. Through this program, I’ll be creating native artwork and graphic designs for the museum's shop. I'm also working to learn my tribe's native language.
I hold associate degrees in Art and Science from Cleveland Community College and a certificate in graphic design from Wake Technical Community College along with 59 credits towards an associate degree in graphic design. I’m currently working towards my bachelor's degree in graphic design with 81 credits complete.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I work as an EC teacher’s assistant for the Burke County Public School system, where I have been dedicated to supporting children with disabilities for the past two school years. I find great joy in helping them grow and achieve their goals.
Art has always been my passion. I started drawing and painting at a young age and began exploring Photoshop and digital art software at 15, mostly through self-teaching and YouTube tutorials. Now, I am back in school to deepen my understanding of graphic design.
I am seeking an entry level opportunity in graphic design. This would be a valuable step toward achieving my career goals, and I am eager to learn on the job, gain practical experience, and benefit from the guidance of experienced mentors in the field.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to and growing with your team.
